The scope of proposal shall also include supervision of installation (supervision of installation of 1st set of wear parts in each mill) of above wear parts.
6.0 Prospective bidders from U.P. State are compulsorily required to provide TIN number at the time of purchase of bidding documents.
7.0Qualifying Requirements for Bidders:

4.The bidders who wish to participate in the bidding shall satisfactorily establish that they fulfill the following Qualifying Requirements.
5.PROPOSED QUALIFYING REQUIREMENTS:
5.1The bidder should be a regular manufacturer of vertical type coal pulverisers and should have supplied such coal
pulverisers to at least two coal |
fired units, each of 110 MW or higher capacity, located at two different power stations |

(b) Bidder should either himself or through a company/agency in which he has controlling stake, own following manufacturing and testing facilities for use by the bidder for manufacturing of the grinding rolls (Bidder to furnish proof of ownership/controlling stake of the facilities along with his bid).
MANUFACTURING FACILITIES:
i)Induction/Cupola/Induction Arc Furnace for melting capacity of 01 (One) Ton or above
ii)Machining facilities for inside bore
iii)Centrifugal casting machine to accommodate grinding Rolls of over 600 kg (In case bidder is offering
i)Hardness testing
ii)Magnetic particle testing machine
iii)Micro structure testing
iv)Chemical composition testing
v)Ultrasonic testing machine (to check tread to core bond and to check tread thickness)
vi)Spectrometer/Spectrogram
vii)Inside micrometer (to check inside taper measurements)
OR
5.3 The bidder should be a regular manufacturer of grinding rolls for vertical type coal pulverisers and should have supplied at least fifty (50) nos. of grinding rolls for vertical type coal pulverisers and should have an ongoing collaboration/license agreement with a manufacturer who meets the qualifying requirements as stipulated at clause 5.2(a)
above. In such a case, bidder along with his collaborator/licenser shall furnish a Deed of joint undertaking (DJU) for successful performance of grinding rolls offered by him. Further bidder should have manufacturing and testing facilities as
per 5.2 (b) above and shall offer only the type of grinding rolls (i.e. |
centrifugally |

be rejected. In case of award, the |

6.The bidder should have supplied centrifugally cast grinding elements viz. Grinding Rolls of size 28" and Bull Ring

7.FINANCIAL CRITERIA:
AVERAGE ANNUAL TURNOVER: The average annual turnover of the bidder in the preceding three (3) financial years as on the date of bid opening shall not be less than Rs. 57.96 Lacs (Rupees Fifty Seven Lacs and Ninety Six Thousand only).
8.Notes:
i)Grinding elements means Grinding Rolls (03 no rolls) and one set of Bull ring segments.
ii) |
The work #executed# means that the bidder should have achieved the specified QR para 5 & 6 even if total contract |
is |
not completed/closed. |
iii)Other income shall not be considered for arriving at annual turnover as specified in QR para 7.
iv) |
In case where audited results for the last preceding |
financial year are not |
available, certification |
of |
financial |
statements from a practicing Chartered Accountant shall also be considered acceptable. |

v) |
The material selected by the supplier for the Mill wear |
parts must have been used satisfactorily in at |
least |
six (6) |
|
coal pulverizes having similar or higher rated capacity. The word #satisfactorily# means the wear parts must have met the offered guarantee at the respective stations.
vi)The bidder has to produce necessary proof of the orders executed. The bidder should submit documentary evidence
towards satisfactory performance of grinding |
elements either in the form of performance certificate from the user or |

minutes of meeting indicating |
performance of |
grinding elements at user site/plant. |
|
|
vii) The performance guarantee for each type |
of wear parts viz. each set consisting of 3 (three) |
grinding rolls & one |
set |
|
of bull ring segments shall |
be in the range |
of |

for |
less than 4000 RH shall not be considered. |
|

|

viii) |
The bidder should confirm the availability of above |
testing facilities. |

Notwithstanding anything stated above, NTPC reserves |

x)The employer also reserves the right to reject any or all bids or cancel/ withdraw the invitation for bids without
assigning any reason whatsoever and in such case no bidder/ intending bidder shall have any claim arising out of such action.

8.0Issuance of Bidding Documents to any bidder shall not construe that bidder is considered qualified.

assigning any reason whatsoever and in such case no bidder/intending bidder shall have any claim arising out of such action.
