3.0 Bid Security and Integrity Pact (if applicable) shall be submitted in a sealed envelope separately offline by the stipulated bid submission closing date and time at the address given below. Any bid without an acceptable Bid Security and Integrity Pact (if applicable) shall be treated as non-responsive by the employer and shall not be opened.

4.0 A complete set of Bidding Documents may be downloaded by any interested Bidder on payment (non-refundable) of the cost of the documents as mentioned above in the form of a crossed account Payee demand draft in favour of NTPC Ltd., Payable at NEW DELHI or directly through the payment gateway at our SRM Site (https://etender.ntpclakshya.co.in/sap/bc/gui/sap/its/bbpstart). For logging on to the SRM Site, the bidder would require vendor code and SRM user id and password which can be obtained by submitting a questionnaire available at our SRM site as well as at NTPC tender site (www.ntpctender.com). First time users not allotted any vendor code are required to approach NTPC at least three working days prior to Document Sale Close date alongwith duly filled in questionnare for issue of vendor code and SRM user id/password.

5.0 Brief Scope of Work & other specific detail Crusher Hammers for R-52

1.0 HAMMER:CAST PLAIN:OD-305MM:215X50MM: Part No:-: Drg No:-BTPS/PUR/75-22. REV-01

TECHNICAL DATA SHEET:

1.MATERIAL:Austenitic-Manganese Steel Castings as per IS 276:2000 Grade3. 2.MANUFACTURING:Castings shall be made by electric induction process.

3.The ladle analysis of steel shall be carried out for each melt as per IS 228 and its relevant parts.TC to be verified by NTPC. 4.The method of sampling castings for the purpose of chemical and mechanical tests shall be in accotdance with IS 6907.

5.A record of heat treatment for each melt of the castings shall be maintained by the manu.Heat treatment record to be verified by NTPC.

6.The Brinell hardness test shall be carried out for each melt on the casting as per IS 1500.BHN range:200-229.Test to be witnessed by NTPC.

7.Tests for tensile strength,yield stress and elongation % shall be conducted on a test pieces for each melt and witnessed by NTPC. Acceptance values as per IS 276:2000 Grade 3.Tensile test shall be carried out in accordance with IS 1608.

8.NTPC to witness the micro structure of each melt. 9.Rectification of castings by welding is prohibited.

10.Non-destructive testing:Radiographic examination as per IS 2595:1978 on 1% of material for each melt.To be witnessed by NTPC. 11.Acceptance standards for radiographic inspection shall be IS 12938:1990.The working surface of the hammer will be radiographed after the final heat treatment.Radiography shall be carried out by LEVEL2 qualified personnel.

12.Tolerance in weight of hammers shall be +/-1.5%. 13.For untolerated dimensions,IS 4897:1994 shall apply.

14.Bend test(as per IS 276:2000 Grade 3) to be witnessed by NTPC.

15.For the chemical composition test, the test pieces shall be integral test bars.They will be separated from the castings in presence of NTPC.If the vendor does not have in-house test facilities, NTPC will seal the test pieces/castings.Vendor will get the analysis done from Govt. approved labs.MDCC will be issued after satisfactory Test certificates.

16.Drop test:Minimum 50kg mass falling from a height of 10 feet on the casting. Cracks,deformation and fracture not acceptable.Localised dent acceptable.

17.Product analysis shall be carried out on a casting representing each melt.NTPC to witness.

6.0 Prospective bidders from U.P. State are compulsorily required to provide TIN number at the time of purchase of bidding documents.

7.0Qualifying Requirements for Bidders:

1.0The applicant should be a manufacturer of Manganese Steel Cast Crusher Hammers for Ring Granulators as per IS: 276 or material as specified in the Technical Specification.

1.1The applicant should have its own Heat Treatment facility.

1.2The applicant should have testing facilities including Spectrometer as required in NTPC Standard Quality Plan attached with the Technical Specification.

2.0 The bidder should have executed any one of the following Similar Works in India in the preceding seven years as on the date of opening of Techno-Commercial proposal :

One Work of value not less than Rs. 16.62 lakh (Rupees sixteen lakh and sixty two thousand only). OR

Two works of value not less than Rs. 10.39 lakh (Rupees Ten lakh and thirty nine thousand only) each. OR

Three works of value not less than Rs.8.31 lakh (Rupees Eight lakh and thirty one thousand only) each.

Note:

1.#Similar# works means any work which includes "Supply of Cast Hammers each of minimum 12 Kg Mass to Thermal Power Plants or CHP main package Contractors or OEM of Ring Granulators".

2.The work #executed# mentioned above means the bidder should have achieved the criteria specified above, even if the total contract is started earlier and/or is not completed/ closed.

3.In case of orders under execution, the value of work executed till the date of opening of Techno-Commercial proposal as certified by the Client shall be considered.

3.0 The average annual turnover of the bidder in the preceding three financial years as on the date of opening of Techno-Commercial proposal should not be less than Rs 41.55 lakhs (Rupee forty one lakh fifty five thousand only).

Note:

1.While computing the annual turnover other income shall not be considered.

2.In case where audited results for the last preceding financial year are not available certification of financial statements from a practicing Chartered Accountant shall be considered acceptable.

8.0Issuance of Bidding Documents to any bidder shall not construe that bidder is considered qualified.

9.0 NTPC reserves the right to reject any or all bids or cancel/withdraw the NIT for the subject package without assigning any reason whatsoever and in such case no bidder/intending bidder shall have any claim arising out of such action.
