1.0 NTPC Limited invites sealed bids in Single Stage Two Envelope Basis (i.e. Envelope-I: Techno-Commercial Bid and Envelope-II: Price Bid) for Construction of Boundary Wall,Watch Tower and Guard Room Including Internal Electrification – Package-III (B) for North Karanpura Super Thermal Power Project, (3 X 660 MW) located at Tandwa, District Chatra, State of Jharkhand, India, as per the brief Scope of Work mentioned hereinafter.

2.0 BRIEF SCOPE OF WORK

The brief scope of work under this package shall include Construction of Boundary Wall, Watch Tower and Guard Room Including Internal Electrification – Package-III (B) for NTPC Limited- North Karanpura.

3.0 Detailed specification, scope of work and terms & conditions are given in the bidding documents, which are available for examination and sale at the address given below and as per the following schedule:

Date for opening of Price Bid (Envelope-II) shall be intimated separately after opening of Techno–Commercial Bid (Envelope-I).

OR

(b) The Bidder should have executed as on date of Bid opening at least Two (02) Similar Work of Value not less than Rs. 147.30 Lakhs Each.

OR

(c) The Bidder should have executed as on date of Bid opening at least Three (03) Similar Work of Value not less than Rs. 117.84 Lakhs Each.

Similar Work means:

“Civil Construction Work involving Brick Work, RCC Work and Internal Electrification.”

5.2 Financial Criteria:

Turn Over: The average annual turnover of the Bidder, in the preceding three (03)

Financial Years as on the date of bid opening shall not be less than Rs.321.39 Lakhs

NOTES

(i) The Work “executed” means that the bidder should have achieved the progress specified in the QR even if the total contract is not completed/ closed. The same shall be supported by documentary evidence issued by the owner.

(ii) Other Income shall not be considered for arriving at annual turn over.

(iii) In cases where audited results for the last preceding financial years are not available, certification of financial statements from a practicing Chartered Accountant shall also be considered acceptable.

6.0 Notwithstanding anything stated above, the NTPC Limited reserves the right to access the capabilities and capacity of the bidder to perform the contract, should the circumstances warrant such assessment in the overall interest of the NTPC Limited.

7.0 NTPC Limited reserves the right to reject any or all bids or cancel/withdraw the Invitation for Bids without assigning any reason whatsoever and in such case no bidder / intending bidder shall have any claim arising out of such action.

8.0 A complete set of Bid documents may be purchased by any interested bidder on submission of a written application and payment (non-refundable) of the cost of bidding documents as mentioned above in the form of a Crossed Account Payee Demand Draft/Pay Order in favour of NTPC Limited, Payable at State Bank of India (SBI) Hazaribagh (Jharkhand). The NSIC/SSI Registered Firms have been exempted from Tender Fee and EMD submission; provided they have sufficient Validity of NSIC/SSI Certificate. SSI from Jharkhand State is only exempted from EMD.The bidding documents can also be downloaded fromhttp://www.ntpctender.com on registration and online payment (non-refundable) towards cost of bidding documents and the downloaded documents can be used for bidding purposes.

In case the registered bidders who have downloaded the bidding documents require an additional manual copy of the documents then such bidders shall be required to purchase the manual copy of the bidding documents following the procedure detailed above.

9.0 Issuance of Bid Documents to any Bidder shall not construe that such Bidder is considered to be qualified. Bids shall be submitted and opened at the address given below in the presence of Bidder's representatives who choose to attend the bid opening.

10.0 Transfer of Bidding Documents purchased by one intending Bidder to another is not permissible.
