shall be treated as non-responsive by the employer and shall not be opened.

4.0 A complete set of Bidding Documents may be downloaded by any interested Bidder on payment (non-refundable) of the cost of the documents as mentioned above in the form of a crossed account Payee demand draft in favour of NTPC Ltd., Payable at Not Given. or directly through the payment gateway at our SRM Site

(https://etender.ntpclakshya.co.in/sap/bc/gui/sap/its/bbpstart). For logging on to the SRM Site, the

bidder would require

vendor code and SRM user id and password which can be obtained

by submitting a questionnaire

available at our SRM

site as well as at NTPC tender site (www.ntpctender.com). First time users not

allotted any vendor code are required to

approach NTPC at least three working days prior to Document Sale

alongwith duly filled in questionnare for

issue of vendor code and SRM user id/password.

 

 

 

5.0 Brief Scope of Work & other specific detail Scope work

1. The scope of work of this contract includes the following areas:

a) CW St-I area, CT St-I area, Makeup pump house area, switchgear ST-I area, chlorination plant building ST-I.

b)Old service building, New and old ADM building, Documentation Building, ICH canteen, workshop area, switchyard area, DM plant area, WCP area, (newly constructed drain) from WCP towards Rly gate no-04,RCC drain near hydrogen plant building (St-II & III),Transformer yard St-I&II along fencing, Near BMD store upto Ash slurry St-I, In front of Civil/FQA Office area and Drain along Boundary Wall backside of new ADM building.

c)Gosai ka purwa drain (inside & outside plant) upto its junction with CHP drain.

d)Cable trench in plant area (St-I).

2. Drains of various types and sizes are to

be cleaned in or underwater flowing condition & removal/disposal

of

all

types of foreign materials like earth, silt/sludge

etc. upto invert level of drain or feasible as per site conditions are

to

be

done as per instructions of Engineer-In-Charge. The earthen/kutcha drain shall be cleaned upto minimum 1.5m depth or 1.00m from flow level. Cleaning of drain shall be done as per priority fixed within a short notice of 24 hours.

3. Cleaning of drains shall generally be performed as follows:- a)Cleaning of 'A'type drain :10 times in 02 years.

b)Cleaning of 'B'type drain :10 times in 02 years

c)Cleaning of 'C'type drain :10 times in 02 years

d)Cleaning of 'D' type drain :10 times in 02 years

e) Cleaning of 'E'type drain :10 times in 02 years

f)Cleaning of Earthen/kutcha drain :10 times in 02 years

g)Cleaning of Cable trench-[(a) upto 1200mm, (b) upto 1800mm] 02 times in 02 years

4. On the either sides of drains, grass cutting/ jungle clearing, surface dressing etc. shall be done with the drain cleaning work as per instructions of EIC.

5.De-silting/removal of silt/sludge shall be payable in item #Removal of silt/sludge by excavation# of BOQ.

6. Cleaning of RCC cable trenches in plant area (St-I) shall be done upto bottom level of trench. Dewatering work if required shall be paid separately in the item #Pump set of capacity minium 3636.80 lit# of BOQ. Removal of sludge/silt shall be done for all lift as exits in the trench. While working in the cable trenches, the agency shall ensure all necessary safety arrangements, torches etc for which no extra payment shall be made to the contractor.

7.

In addition to above

if any drain located inside

plant

is required to be cleaned during emergency, agency has to do

the

same immediately as

per instruction of EIC. For

this,

Payment shall be made as per the relevant BOQ Item.

8.Completion period shall be Twenty Four (24) months

9.Defect liability period shall be nil.

Terms & Conditions

1.The agency has to submit necessary insurance of all the workers to be engaged in work.

2.The agency has to provide required safety equipments/PPE's i.e. safety helmet, safety shoe/gumboot, gloves etc. to workers and take necessary safety measures to ensure safety during work.

3. The agency has to fulfil all statuary compliance related to prevailing labours laws.

4.R.A. Bill will be paid once in a month.

5.Agency has to deploy manpower & Hydraulic tractor trolley during night also if required as per instruction of EIC for which "NO EXTRA PAYMENT" will be made.

6.Completion period shall be two years i.e. 24 (Twenty Four) months.

7.Defect liability period for this work shall be nil.

8.Payment to the agency shall be made after joint inspection by NTPC officials.

9.Sludge removed from the drain has to be disposed off to designated place within 03 to 07 days from the date of drain

cleaning. In case

of

non-disposal

of removed sludge with in 07 (seven) days, a penalty @

10% per week against the

drain cleaning BOQ

item will be

imposed

to the

agency.

For example if quoted rate of

drain

cleaning

item is

Rs

'A'/RM, penalty

for

non-disposal

of sludge

within

07 days

shall be Rs.0.10 'A' /RM/week of

delay in

disposal

of

sludge.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

10.The payment to all the workers shall be made through Bank.

11.All Other terms and conditions remain same as per GCC of Civil works of NTPC.

6.0 Prospective bidders from U.P. State are compulsorily required to provide TIN number at the time of purchase of bidding documents.

7.0Qualifying Requirements for Bidders:

a)The bidder should have executed the work of:

(i)Cleaning of water channel/ canal

 

 

 

AND/OR

 

 

 

 

 

(ii)

Drain cleaning

 

 

 

 

 

 

b)The bidder should have executed the similar

work

as per para 7(a)

during last seven (7) years ending last day of the

month of previous to one in which applications

are invited as any of the following :-

(i)

One

8.0Issuance of Bidding Documents to any bidder shall not construe that bidder is considered qualified.

9.0NTPC reserves the right to reject any or all bids or cancel/withdraw the NIT for the subject package without

assigning any reason whatsoever and in such case no bidder/intending bidder shall have any claim arising out of such action.
