3.0 Bid Security and Integrity Pact (if applicable) shall be submitted in a sealed envelope separately offline by the stipulated bid submission closing date and time at the address given below. Any bid without an acceptable Bid Security and Integrity Pact (if applicable) shall be treated as non-responsive by the employer and shall not be opened.

4.0 A complete set of Bidding Documents may be downloaded by any interested Bidder on payment (non-refundable) of the cost of the documents as mentioned above in the form of a crossed account Payee demand draft in favour of NTPC Ltd., Payable at NEW DELHI or directly through the payment gateway at our SRM Site (https://etender.ntpclakshya.co.in/sap/bc/gui/sap/its/bbpstart). For logging on to the SRM Site, the bidder would require vendor code and SRM user id and password which can be obtained by submitting a questionnaire available at our SRM site as well as at NTPC tender site (www.ntpctender.com). First time users not allotted any vendor code are required to approach NTPC at least three working days prior to Document Sale Close date alongwith duly filled in questionnare for issue of vendor code and SRM user id/password.

5.0 Brief Scope of Work & other specific detail

1.0 Item Description:

TUBE:COPPER:SPEC (CUPRONICKEL-90/10):OUT SIDE DIA-OD-19:THICKNESS-THK-1.0 AND LENGTH- 2275MM

Thickness of tube should not be less than 01 mm at any point of cross section of tube. (QTY : 2500 NO.)

2.0 QUALITY PLAN:

1.Materials shall be inspected at vendor's works as per P.O specifications.

2.Vendor shall submit the detailed QAP, which shall include the tests and documentations as mentioned below and shall be approved by BTPS.

(a) The following tests shall be witnessed by NTPC representative as per IS-1545(1994): However chemical composition shall be as mentioned below at point no. (i)

(i) Chemical composition:(Ni=10-11%, Pb=0.01(max), Fe=1-1.8%,

Mn=0.5-1.0%, S=0.05(max), C=0.05(max), total impurities=0.3%(max), Cu=remainder.

(ii)Hardness: 80-110 HV 5.

(iii)Tensile test: 295MPa(min)

(iv)Flattening test

(v)Drift expanding test

(vi)Eddy- Current Test: 100%

(vii)Hydro- static test-7 Mpa (100%)

(viii)Mercurous Nitrate Test

(ix)Microscopic Examination: 0.05mm (max) grain size.

(x)Elongation: 35%(min)

(b) NTPC representative shall verify the records of chemical analysis of material cast.

(c)The manufacturer test certificate shall have the following information.

(i)Supplier Name.

(ii)Test certificate No.

(iii)Size, Quantity, Identification mark, Batch No.

(d)Tube shall be bright annealed (through ammonia atmosphere) straight, Clean, smooth and free from cracks, seams, scales and other defects.

(e)Tolerance on O.D = +/-0.10mm, wall thickness = +0.2/-0.0mm (Thickness of tube shall not be less than 1.0mm at any given point of cross section of tube) length = +5mm.

(f)Compliance and Guarantee certificates to be submitted alongwith the supply.

(g)Tubes shall be suitably covered with polyethylene bubble sheet and packed in proper wooden boxes to avoid movements and rubbing. Tube ends shall be protected by proper inserts to avoid damage during handling & transit.

(h)Each tube shall be electro-etched as: BTPS, P.O. details and size near the Manufacturer marking.

3.Boxes containing tubes shall be suitably marked with the following details. a) Lot No.

b) Grade and size.

c) Manufacture's name.

4.a) NTPC may get the testing done from any Govt. / NABL accredited lab, apart from normal testing at vendor#s works. In case

NTPC desires to get the material tested at outside lab., then the testing charges shall be borne by the vendor and the results of the same shall be final and binding.

b) Material shall also be checked using XRF Analyser at vendors works (Vendor Scope). The material shall again be checked at BTPS store using XRF Analyser (NTPC Scope).

3.0 EARNEST MONEY DEPOSIT (EMD) : Bid Security in the amount of Rs. 41,000/- (Rupees Forty One Thousand Only) in a separate envelope.

In case of Bank Guarantee, the same should be valid for 225 days from the date of Bid Opening and BG should be executed on Rs. 100/-non judicial stamp paper.

In case of DD/Banker#s cheque, same should be payable at Delhi in the favour of NTPC Ltd

No Interest shall be paid on EMD. Offers without EMD are liable for rejection

4.0 DELIVERY SCHEDULE : Within 270 days.

5.0 Security Deposit: S.D. @ 5% of order value to be deposited by the firm and shall be released after completion of supplies.

6.0 Contract Performance Guarantee : Not Applicable

7.0 Bid Opening Process : Technical Bid shall be opened of those bidders whose EMD's have been found in order and meeting other tender conditions, as stipulated in tender documents.

Price bids shall be opened on a later date of only those bidders whose technical bid is found acceptable and who fulfill the Qualifying Requirements.

The date of Price bid opening of such qualified bidders shall be separately intimated.

8.0 ALL DOCUMENTS OF TENDER ENQUIRY ARE ATTACHED IN COLLABORATION FOLDER.

6.0 Prospective bidders from U.P. State are compulsorily required to provide TIN number at the time of purchase of bidding documents.

7.0Qualifying Requirements for Bidders:

1)The bidder should be a manufacturer of Cupro-Nickel Tubes.

2)The bidder should have executed any one of the following similar works in India in the preceding seven years as on the date of opening of Techno-Commercial proposal:

Single order supply of not less than 2299 Kg of Cupro-Nickel Tubes OR Single order contract value not less than Rs. 16.11 Lacs. (Rupees Sixteen lakh and Eleven Thousands Only) each.

Two (2) orders supply, each of 1437 Kg of Cupro-Nickel Tubes OR Two (2) orders, each of contract value not less than Rs. 10.07 Lacs (Rupees Ten lakh and Seven Thousands Only) each.

Three (3) order of supply, each of 1150 Kg of Cupro-Nickel Tubes OR Three (3) orders, each of contract value not less than Rs. 8.06 lacs (Rupees Eight lakh and six Thousands only) each.

Note:

2.1) #Similar# works means any work which includes #Supply of Cupro-Nickel Tubes or non ferrous material tubes used in any industry.#

2.2) The work #executed# mentioned above means the bidder should have achieved the criteria specified above, even if the total contract is started earlier and / or is not completed / closed.

2.3) In case of orders under execution, the value of work executed till the date of opening of Techno-Commercial proposal as certified by the Client shall be considered.

3) The average annual turnover of the bidder in the preceding three financial years as on the date of opening of Techno-Commercial proposal should not be less than Rs. 26.86 lacs (Rupees Twenty Six lakhs and Eighty Six Thousand Only).

Note:

3.1) While computing the annual turnover other income shall not be considered.

3.2) In case where audited results for the last preceding financial year are not available certification of financial statements from a practicing Chartered Accountant shall be considered acceptable.

8.0Issuance of Bidding Documents to any bidder shall not construe that bidder is considered qualified.

9.0 NTPC reserves the right to reject any or all bids or cancel/withdraw the NIT for the subject package without assigning any reason whatsoever and in such case no bidder/intending bidder shall have any claim arising out of such action.
