NAME OF WORK: MAINTENANCE OF BROAD GAUGE RAILWAY TRACK OF NTPC- UNCHAHAR SIDING

SCOPE OF WORK

DES: SYSTEMATIC THROUGH PACKING OF RAIL TRACK AS PER SPEC.(FTRLS00GN907)

1.

Systematic through packing of existing Rail track straight/curved on wooden/PRC/Metallic Sleepers

including

removal

of grass/weeds from cess and ballast section.

 

 

 

 

 

2.

It includes opening of the road, examination of Rails, sleepers and fastenings, squaring of sleepers, slewing of track to

correct alignment, gauging, packing of sleepers, dressing and

tiding of ballast.

 

 

 

3.

Including lifting of track up to 75 MM, picking of scattered ballast

from

the slopes and putting

them on

track as

required by EIC with all tools and tackles as per IRPW manual.

(3). Including all tools and plans as directed by EIC.

(1). Patrolling of track as per IR specifications technical

(2). The

patrolling

of

track by key man from 10-12 km of track

length per day shall be treated as one job and atleast

one key

man

shall

be

deployed with complete tools and plants for

one job.

(3). The key man deployed for the job shall be semi skilled worker with experience and through knowledge of track maintenance. The competency of key man shall be verified by EIC before deployment.

Desc : DISMANTLING OF EXISTING RAILWAY TRACK AS PER SPEC.(FTRLS00GN400)

 

 

(1). Dismantling of existing railway track (both sides rails) complete with fish plates, sleepers (any

type) and

other

fittings.

 

 

(2). work including removal of all track material, fittings, including stacking of dismantled materail

(1). Weeding of grass and removal of rubbish material from the

ballasted portion of the track from shoulder to shoulder and also one meter wide walk way on both sides of the track including all T&P labor .

Desc : SUPPLY OF GANG MEN (USW) FOR INCIDENTAL/ EMERGENCY /MISC

WORKS (FTDEP00GN600)

(1).

Supply of labor required for incidental/emergency/misc works including derailments and upkeep of the track during

the

period of monsoon for the safe passage of trains.

(2). Including for patrolling, attending sudden slip of earth, removal of coal spill due to operational problems , casual renewal of rails , sleepers and other major major renewal of crossings and points.

(3). Including for transportation of permanent way material to site,pulling back of creep and misc track related work

(4). Including T&P and consumables etc complete.

(5). In case of emergent requirements like derailments the gang should be mobilized with in shortest possible time as per the requirement of work decided by EIC. Misc. works e.g. wagon tipller pit cleaning etc. and other misc. works in CHP/MGR ares as per instruction of EIC.

Desc : SUPPLY OF BALCKSMITH /CARPENTER /PAINTER/ MASON/ GAS

CUTTER/WELDER SET/MATE (FTDEP006N602)

(1). Supply of one skilled blacksmith/carpenter/painter/mason/ gas cutter/welder/mate etc. activities.

(2). Materials shall be issued free of cost by NTPC on reconciliation basis.

Desc : EARTH WORK ON RAILWAY EMBANKMENT/ ANY OTHER PLACE AS

PER SPECIFICATIONS.(FTRLS02GN201)

(1). Earth work on Railway embankment /cutting/ making kutcha drains wherever required.

(2). Repairing of railway slopes of emembankment berms,cess etc from the borrow pits ( soil near up to 50 meters lead and lift up to 1.5 meters including all tools and plants as directed by EIC.

(3). payment shall be done as per pit measurement.

Desc : PAINTING OF RAILS OF WAGON TIPPLER, TRACK HOPPER WITH

ANTI CORROSIVE BLACK BITUMUNOUS PAINT (FTRLS00GN100)

(1). Rail track cleaning/Painting of two or

more coats to give an even shade and at other places in all sides except top

and bottom after proper cleaning including

through scrapping and applying with IS158 anticorrosive paint

(2). Coal tar may also be used in place of

anti corrosive

paint.

(3). Including paint , consumables , T&P as directed by

EIC.

(4). Painting of both rails of both sides for 1 meter length is considered as one running meter.

Desc : DEEP SCREENING OF RAIL TRACK COMPLETE AS PER

SPECIFICATIONS.(FTRLS00GN159)

(1). DEEP SCREENING OF TRACK AS PER IRS SPECIFICATIONS WHICH INCLUDES OPENING AND REMOVAL OF STONE BALLAST UP TO FORMATION LEVEL TAKING PRECAUTIONS NOT TO DIGOUT/ DISTURB THE

CONSOLIDATED TOP OF FORMATION

(2). BALLST SHALL BE PROPERLY SCREENED AND PUT BACK UNDER THE TRACK/ SLEEPERS AND PACKED.

(3). IFF ADDITIONAL BALLAST IS REQUIRED THE SAME SHALL BE TAKEN FROM ANY LOCATION OF THE RAIL YARD. HOWEVER BALLST SHALL BE GIVEN BY NTPC FREE OF COST.

(4). ONE THROUGH PACKING OF THE TRACK AFTER DEEP SCREENING SHALL BE IN THE SCOPE OF AGENCY AND NOTHING SHALL BE PAID EXTRA FOR THIS THROUGH PACKING.

Desc : SUPPLY OF GANG MATE FOR INCIDENTAL /EMERGENCY WORK (FTDEP006N602)

(1). SUPPLY OF GANG MATE FOR INCIDENTAL EMERGENCY WORK INCLUDING DERAILMENTS AND UP KEEP OF TRACK DURING MONSOONS AND ALL MISC WORKS. INCLUDING ALL T&P AND CONSUMABLES

Desc : PAINTING OF COMPLETE STEEL STRUCTURE OF ALL GIRDER

BRIDGES INCLUDING ALL I- SECTIONS BRACINGS,CROSS BEAMS,

STRIPS, ANGLES, CHANNELS,STEEL PLATES ETC EXCUDING

COVERED PORTION AS PER RDSO SPECIFICATIONS AND INDIAN

RAILWAYS BRIDGE MANUAL INCLUDING LABOUR CONSUMABLES &

T&P.PAINT SHALL BE PROVIDED BY NTPC (FTRLS01GN702)

(1). THE PAINT/ PRIMER/ THINNER SHALL BE ISSUED TO AGENCY BY EIC FROM CHP STORES FREE OF COST. EMPTY CONTAINERS AFTER USE SHALL HAVE TO BE RETURNED TO CHP STORES.

(2). THE CONSUMPTION PATTERN OF PAINT SHALL BE AS PER DSR/DAR NORMS.

(3). SURFACE PREPARED FOR PAINTING SHOULD BE SHOWN TO EIC BEFORE APPLICATION OF PRIMER AND PAINT.

(4). ALL IDENTIFICATION MARKS, FLOW DIRECTIONS, DESCRIPTIONS AND SERIAL NUMBERS ARE TO BE WRITTEN AND MARKED THROUGH PAINT.

(5)PAINTING OF STEEL GIRDER BRIDGES WITH SYNTHETIC ENAMEL PAINT OF APPROVED BRAND AND MANUFACTURE OF REQUIRED COLOUR TO GIVE AN EVEN SHADE. OLD WORK (ONE OR MORE COAT TO GIVE AN EVEN SHADE) STEEL PRIMER SHALL BE APPLIED WHEREVER REQUIRED.

DES: SUPPLY OF TRACTOR TROLLEY WITH FUEL, OIL DRIVER ETC. COMPLETE (FTTCT01GN352) (Manpower/ Gangman shall be deplloyed by NTPC as per site requirement. The payment of gangman shall be done through relievent BOQ item no. 10.80)

 

TERMS & CONDITIONS

 

 

 

 

(1). The works to be

done as per Indian Railways track maintenance

manual

and shall conform to the

detailed

specifications hereunder,

scope of work as described and further details as per the schedule of quantities and instructions

of Engr. In-Charge. If

there is

any dispute about

the scope of work, the decision

of Engineer-in-charge shall

be final

and binding on the contractor. The quality standard to be maintained is as per main line track maintenance of Indian

 

Railways in accordance with IRPW Track manual.

 

 

 

 

 

(2). Every tenderer is expected to know the nature

and location of work before quoting rates. Rates once quoted

can

not

be increased under any

circumstances due to any

reasons whatsoever,. It is to be

noted that no extra charges

will

be

paid for leads and lifts

in the course of carrying out the work for any other reason

over and above accepted

rates

on

the plea that contractor

has found

later that he has

misjudged the quantum of

work leads or lifts.

 

 

( 3). The quantity given in the schedule of quantities are indicative and approximate only and may very according to the actual requirements The contractor shall have no extra claim in this regard.

(

4).

The work shall

be executed on the firm price basis

through out the contract

period

and during extra period if

any.No

price

escalation

shall

be paid.

 

 

 

(

5).

The

scope of

work

includes attending to various

track maintenance jobs,

such

as preventive maintenance,

emergency works as and when needed, general complaints, points and crossing, level crossings, and bridges etc. in the

awarded track length. The scope

of

work further includes renewal

of rails, sleepers, and track fittings etc. in the track

length and its associated parts such

as points and crossing level

crossing

etc.

(

6). The scope of work also

includes daily checking of entire

track length and its associated parts like points and

crossings level crossings

etc by foot

from one end to other by

key

man.

 

(

7). The scope also

includes

submission of track parameters

of

total

track length attended during the month in typed

report. The scope also include maintaining of all track maintenance records,registers as per IRPW manual. The scope of

work also includes co- ordination of inspection by Northern

Railway and obtaining the requisite fitness

certificates/clearances for movement of railway

rolling stocks

from the

concerned authorities.

(

8). NTPC shall provide all permanent way

materials like

rails

 

sleepers, points and crossing materials with their fittings

 

 

required for casual renewals free of cost. However the contractor

has to make his own arrangement for drawl of

materials from central Stores. Transporting and deposit them at

NTPC stores. Nothing shall be paid extra for

transportation etc.

 

 

 

(

9). SYSTEMATIC TRACK MAINTENANCE PROGRAMME OF NTPC UNCHAHAR SIDING BASED ON THE

INDIAN RAILWAY ANNUAL PROGRAMME

 

 

(

10). Post-Monsoon attention ( for about six

months after the end of

the monsoon)(1 st oct to 31st march):1.Attention to

run down length in the entire length by through packing2.Overhauling of nominated length of track. 3.Need based maintenance 4.lubrication of rail joints 5.Attention to points and crossings 6.Overhauling of level crossings.7.Creep/ joint adjustment.8. re-alignment of curves.

( 11). Pre Monsoon Attention for about two months period prior to break

of

monsoon( 1st april to 31st may) 1.Clearing

of side and catch water

drains and water ways of bridges 2. Earth

work

repairs to cess and slopes 3.Need based

maintenance 4.other normal maintenance works.

 

 

( 12). Attention during monsoon for about four months period (1st June

to 30 th Sept) 1.Attention to track required 2.

Need based maintenance of track. 3. Attention to side drains/ catch water

drains and water ways of bridges. 4. Patrolling

of track during heavy rains

and watching railway affecting tanks. 5.Regular monsoon patrolling during rainy season.

( 13). Scattered or casual renewal, creep adjustment and earth work repairs should be done as necessary.

( 14). One set of points and crossings is considered as equivalent to 100 RM as per Railway Board's circular.Point and crossing is considered as length between stock joint and last 51/52 nd sleeper of crossing.

( 15). For maintenance schedule, the specification of each schedule as per Indian railway track manual shall be strictly followed

( 16). The programme mentioned above is

indicative only. The actual programme shall be decided as per requirement of

the job and the final decision in this regard

is of EIC.

( 17). As per norms prescribed for railway working for quality, work assignment norms per individual per day are as

follows.

Through packing= 12 sleepers.Need base = 24 sleepers,Realignment of curve= 10 sleepers,

weeding of

grass=26 sleepers,Lubrication of rail joints= 12 joints,Overhauling of track= 6 sleepers, Through packing

of Turnout=

12 man per turnout,Overhauling of level crossing=9 men per level crossing, Deep screening of ballast= 2

sleepers. The

decision

of EIC regading deployment in other items is final and binding.

 

( 18). The agency shall be in a position to deploy adequate nos. of manpower per day excluding Sunday & Holiday for execution of track maintenance activities as pe requirement of work. In case of requirement the agency shall be in a position to mobilise more man power for the work. The decision regarding the deployment of gangmen as per work requirement is of EIC and shall be binding on party.

( 19). TRACK TOLERANCES WHICH TO BE MAINTAINED ALWAYS, GUAGE: STRAIGHT (-)3 MM TO +6 MM, FOR CURVES MORE THAN 400 M RADIUS (-)3 MM TO +13 MM, FOR CURVES LESS THAN 400 M RADIUS UP TO +19 MM. HOWEVER SLEEPER TO SLEEPER VARIATION SHOULD NOT BE MORE THAN +/-2MM,UNEVENNESS AT 3.5 METERS: LONG TERM BASIS 6MM, ISOLATED PLACES 10MM. IMMEDIATE ATTENTION: 15 MM.CROSS LEVEL:- MAXIMUM 6MM (CROSS LEVEL DIFFERENCE SHOULD BE CONSTANT)

( 20). TWIST IN 3.5 M BASE : STRAIGHT -2 MM/MTR SERVICE TOLERENCE AND 3.5 MM/MTR FOR ISOLATED PLACES.FOR TRANSITION -1 MM/MTR SERVICE TOLERENCE AND 2.00 MM/MTR AT ISOLATED PLACES. ALIGNMENT OVER 7.5 METER CHORD: SERVICE TOLERENCE FOR STRAIGHT PORTION AND CURVES= 5MM. AT ISOLATED PLACES TOLERENCE FOR STRAIGHT PORTION IS 7 MM AND FOR CURVES 10 MM **-TOTAL CHANGE OF VERSINE CHORD TO CHORD SHOULD NOT EXCEED 10 MM FROM THE THORETICAL VALUE.

( 21). Normally all track works must be done in day light hours only. I.e. from 8.00 hrs to 17.30 hrs every day. The roster hours mentioned must be adhered.1st April to 30 th September 8.00 AM to 1.00 PM and 2.30 PM to 5.30 PM. 1st December to 31 st March 8.30 AM to 1.00 PM and 2.00 PMto 5.30 PM.

(

22). No speed restriction on the track should be imposed by the contractor

or his

representative while carrying

out

normal track maintenance

works without

the approval by

the

engineer-in-charge

or

his representative

except

in

emergencies like breakage

of rail wash out etc. affecting safety of the track.

 

 

 

 

 

(

23). The work affecting

track e.g. replacement of rails, points and

crossings,

use of

material lorry for transportation

of heavy permanent way

materials like, rails,

sleepers etc. Shall

not

be carried out by the

contractor, without

permission

of engineer-in-charge or his representative . All such work

shall be carried out under personal supervision of authorized

representative of engineer-in-charge.

 

 

 

 

24). The re railment of derailed wagons and locomotives is

to be done by the contractor/ his representative for which no

additional cost

is payable. However the

supply of man

power deployed for the above work is

on chargeable basis as per

the provision in

BOQ.Rerailing equipment

for the above

work will be provided free of cost by

NTPC.

( 25). To carry out such works affecting track, necessary work permit should be taken from the engineer-in-charge or his authorized representative. After the completion of the job, contractor /representative should report back for canceling the permit and also should obtain fitness certificate from the engineer-in-charge or his authorized representative.

( 26). The contractor has to keep track clear from any obstruction

i.e.

falling of tree etc. on track due to storm, run

over of stray cattle on the track or any other such things obstructing

the

track during the entire contract period for which

no extra payment shall be made.

 

 

( 27). The contractor's employees shall not damage railway track and the material etc. while working. Any damage to P.way material due to negligence and careless working, shall be the sole responsibility of the contractor and he shall bear the cost of materials so damaged. In this regard the decision of the engineer-in-charge shall be final and binding.

(

28). The contractor shall be

responsible for the safety for the Railway track ( the assets ) and Railway materials lying

in

the area of the

track

in his

scope of work of maintenance.

 

(

29). The contractor shall help in proper checking and inspection on behalf of NTPC for taking over constructed portion

of

track and

other

field

works from Railway/other agencies and associate in

commissioning activities.

(

30). The contractor has to keep pull-push lever and switch portion of all

the points and crossings well cleaned and

oiled and in

proper working

condition at all the times during his contract

tenure for which no extra payment shall be

made.

 

 

 

 

 

( 31). The curves, points and crossings, creep, bridges, level crossings etc. are to be inspected in regular intervals. The schedule of inspection made by engineer-in-charge must be adhered to and any defect is to be rectified then and there as directed by Engineer-in-charge.

( 32). The contractor has to deploy

the manpower

as per deployment yard sticks followed at present

as per Indian

Railway track maintenance manual for

main line maintenance.The maximum quantity of work executed

by

gang man

will

be restricted as per the manual.The contractor have

to deploy adequate number of various categories

of man-power

such

as mate, keyman gang men , trolley men, set of blacksmith/carpenter/painter/mason/gas cutter/welder

and

( 33). In addition to the above the contractor has to deploy at least one experienced retired Railway permanent way

Inspector/PWS

having

wide

experience of track maintenance works who can take up track maintenance works as per

Indian Railway

norms

and

specifications. The

contractor has to submit neatly

typed measurement of all

works done

during the month along with

bill.

 

 

 

( 34). The mate should be

fully aware with the

safety rules regarding working of

trolley and material lorry

on line and

also with works of short and long duration including deployment of necessary engineering signal s for the safety of track/ trains.

( 35). The mate should give necessary pre-intimation indicating location and time required in advance, in case any speed restriction required. This should only be in force on approval of engineer-in-charge keeping in view the operational requirement. The mate shall be responsible for the quality of the work.

( 36). The contractor shall deploy experienced gang mate /gangman/ artisians and should

not

change

them

frequently

without prior permission of engineer-in-charge.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

( 37). The contractor shall have to arrange the required

category of

manpower

as and when required by the

engineer-in-charge within a short notice of 2 hrs time. The contractor or his authorized

representative shall

maintain a

record

of

such

 

instructions,

indicating

time and

date

of

receiving

instructions

duly

countersigned

by

the

engineer-in-charge.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

( 38). In the event of failure of contractor to deploy manpower for incidental/emergency

works within the stipulated time,

the corporation shall get the job executed by deploying the required manpower from the

department/through

any

other

agency,

at risk and

cost

of contractor.

The decision of engineer-in-charge

shall be final and binding in

this

regard.

 

( 39). The contractor should arrange all permanent-way tools

and plants required for execution of work i.e. for day to

day working.

These

include

measuring

instruments

e.g.

fishing

cord,

steel

tape,

beaters, phawaras,rake-ballast ,

crow-bars, plain/claw types, wire brushes, chisels long and

small sizes, blower, ball-pane hammer,

sledge

hammer,

envil, hacksaw blades with frames, rail bender, push trolley

and

portable trolley

umbrela and other similar items

required

for

track

maintenance

works,

the

contractor

has to

submit the list

of

tools

and

plants, they

are

having

with

them, along

with

his off

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

( 40). The available tools and tackles of track maintenance like diplories will be given to contractor for track maintenance activities or material shifting free of cost.

( 41). The contractor shall be responsible for the safety of his men

while

executing the work on rail track, specially at

the time

of passages

of

train and while deploying in

working

at

level crossing and shall ensure 8.00 hours

working

every

day.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

( 42). The contractor shall arrange the removal of garbage/ rubbish material/

scraps from drains/track areas/other locations

of the

yard, with the

help of tractor

trolley.Payment shall be made

as per

relevant BOQ item.

 

 

 

 

( 43). The contractor will have to supply all the safety appliances to their

workers required as per practice and as per

factory act. In case the

ontractor fails to provide the safety appliances before

commencement of job,

the same

will

be

provided by NTPC at contractor's cost

and

risk, and the

cost will

be

recovered

from contractor's

bills.

 

 

 

( 44). As

Railway track

maintenance

job

is strenuous in

nature,

no

female

khalasis is required

to be

deployed

by

the

contractor. Contractor should deploy

gang

men, who

are well

conversant with

track maintenance

work

in Indian Railway

or PSUs with sufficient experience.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

( 45). Medical

facilities etc. needed

for

the labour

engaged

will be the responsibility of the contractor. The contractor

shall also report

for any accident etc. immediately to

NTPC as

per rules in force.

 

 

( 46). The contractor shall strictly adhere to the day to day

programme to

maintain progress

as per

specification and

instructions of

engineer-in-charge.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

( 47). The contractor shall ensure that the materials consumed by him for each assignment are got certified by engineer-in-charge or his authorized representative.

( 48).

The

contractor

shall submit a monthly reconciliation statement for the

materials consumed (Kilometer-wise )

along

with

monthly bill

in the proforma provided by engineer-in-charge.

 

( 49). The removed/unserviceable permanent-way materials shall be returned to the stores/sub-stores, after the same way checked by engineer-in-charge. The contractor has to maintain defective

register/renewal register kilometer wise for verification at site for accounting of the materials. The certification of unserviceability of the track materials has to be obtained from the engineer-in-charge or his authorized representative.

( 50). The

contractor shall keep an account of the track materials supplied by NTPC for casual renewals and preserved

them in his

custody properly.

( 51). All scrap material removed from track after renewal e.g. steel keys, cotters, tie-bars, unserviceable wooden /steel sleepers, rails etc. shall be retuned to the departmental stores after inspection by the engineer-in-charge/his authorized representative. The materials, which are not accounted for, shall be charged from the contractor and cost of the materials shall be recovered from the running bill.

( 52). The contracts shall carryout minor civil works/ repair works/miscellaneous works as per the instructions of EIC.

( 53). The contractor shall observe and comply with all statutory laws and regulations under workmen compensation Act., Factory Act and other labour laws.

( 54). The contractor

has to inspect the

site of work, stores etc.

and satisfy himself before submitting

the

offer.

( 55). The contractor should ensure that all the labour and staff

are provided with valid plant passes

to

work on railway

track in the premises

of plant.

 

 

 

 

 

( 56). In regular track maintenance works, in no cases contractor should take

up the jobs more than

three locations at a

time in a day unless

and until directed

by engineer-in-charge or his authorized

representative through

a permit memo.

( 57). The contractor has to use his own consumable e.g. Kerosene oil,plumage, grease, black oil etc. required for track maintenance works. However any of the consumables if available and provided by NTPC shall be charged as per prevailing rates.

( 58). The agency has

to

mobilize its resources ( viz manpower , T&P and consumables ) so as to take up job at

minimum three locations,

if

required.

( 59). The agency has to produce certified wage sheet with PF deduction for all the workmen deployed during the bill

period & challan for deposited PF amount showing workmen's

contribution as well as employee contribution with each

RA bill. In case of default,

an amount equal to 22% of the

wage bill ( 12% employers contribution+10% contractors

profit )shall be retained. The

retained amount shall be released

on

production of challan along with next RA bill.If the

same is not produced along

with the

next month's RA

bill,

suitable penal action shall be initiated

as per

existing

provisions.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

( 60). The rates of items in

schedule

of quantities shall

include the

transportation of permanent way

material

lying at

different sites within plant area, with all leads, lifts descend leading unloading and stacking including accounting of the same.

( 61). The time of completion of the contact will be two year.

( 62). NTPC/Unchahar has taken ISO 9001:2000, ISO 14001:1996 and OHSAS 18001:1999 for quality management, Environmental management and Occupational healtth & safety management systems respectively. All the acts of contractor and his men should be in compliance with these certifications.

( 63). The criteria for determination of parties meeting

PQR completeness of bids submitted and their evaluation is the

sole discretion of NTPC and no correspondence on

such

matters shall be

entertained.

( 64). Defect liability

period - NIL

 

 

 

 

 

( 65). All other terms

& conditions shall be as per

GCC of Civil of NTPC.

 

( 66). NTPC-Unchahar is SA 8000 certified organization

and the contractor should

follow the requirements of SA-8000.

( 67). Quoted rates should be inclusive of all taxes and duties excluding service tax if applicable.

(68) In case of emergency & urgency of work at

site,

agency should have to arrange required category of manpower as

per instruction of Engineer In-charge, irrespective

of

Sunday & Holiday.

 

 

(69) Regarding deployment of PWI/PWS , same shall

be deployed daily

excluding

sunday & Holiday. However, in case

of emergency and urgency of work at site, agency

shall

have to arrange

the same

as per instruction of EIC, Irrespective

of holiday & sunday.

 

 

 

 

 

 

(70)If the agency fails to deploy PWI/PWS on any day, recovery shall be done at double the rate as mentioned in BOQ. 6.0 Prospective bidders from U.P. State are compulsorily required to provide TIN number at the time of purchase of bidding documents.

7.0Qualifying Requirements for Bidders:

(a) The bidder must have executed the Maintenance of broad gauge railway track in Govt. Organization / Public Limited Co. and other industrial establishment during last 7 years ending last day of month previous to the date of bid opening, as any of the following :

(i)

One similar executed work costing

not less than Rs 116.00 lacs.

 

 

OR

(ii)

Two similar executed works costing

not less than Rs. 72.50 lacs each.

 

OR

 

(iii) Three similar executed works costing not less than Rs.58.00 lacs each.

(b) The

average

annual

turnover of the

bidder in the three preceding completed financial years, as on the date of bid

opening

shall not

be less

than Rs.72.50

lacs.

Note: Maintenance of broad gauge should include maintenance of defective rail tracks, overhauling of rail tracks through packing, maintenance of points and crossing.

8.0Issuance of Bidding Documents to any bidder shall not construe that bidder is considered qualified.

9.0NTPC reserves the right to reject any or all bids or cancel/withdraw the NIT for the subject package without

assigning any reason whatsoever and in such case no bidder/intending bidder shall have any claim arising out of such action.
