1.0INTRODUCTION:

NTPC was incorporated in the year 1975, with the objective of planning, promoting and organizing an integrated development of Power Stations in India. With an installed capacity of 42454 MW, NTPC is the largest power generating major in the country. NTPC designated as one of the Maharatna Public Sector Undertaking is poised to become a global giant and the mega power utility has ambitious plan to become 1,28,000 MW plus company by 2032.

To realize its goal of becoming 1,28,000 MW Company by 2032, NTPC already has a long list of project in pipeline.

NTPC invites Expression of Interest from reputed vendors in India and abroad who have experience in executing the Balance of Plant (BOP) package of Coal based thermal power plants of 200 MW & above or Gas based CCPP of 350 MW or above and have executed similar jobs in past.

2.0SCOPE OF WORK:

The brief scope of work for Balance of Plant (BOP) Package of NTPC is as under:

3.0PURPOSE OF INVITING EXPRESSION OF INTEREST (EOI) TO COLLECT THE DATA

Through this EOI, NTPC intends to collect data in respect of Contractors for Balance of Pant (BOP) package for upcoming projects like Barethi, Bilhaur, Ramagundam, Talcher, Pudimadaka etc.

This invitation for Expression of Interest is not intended for empanelment or pre qualification of bidders. Separate NIA shall be floated by NTPC for Enlistment of Contractors for Balance of Plant (BOP) for its forthcoming projects as and when required.

Further, NTPC reserves the right to include/ exclude any equipment/system/facility in the Scope of BOP package mentioned at 2.0 above.

4.0ELIGIBILITY

Firms of repute who meet any of the following criteria are invited to submit their application for Expression of Interest (EOI):

(i)Contractors, who have executed contracts in past, for Balance of Plant (BOP) of a thermal power plant which is in successful operation. They should have the capabilities and competencies to undertake such an assignment, are invited to submit their application for Expression of Interest (EOI).

(ii)Indian firms who have tie ups with foreign Contractors of Balance of Plant (BOP) package.

(iii)Indian subsidiaries/ Indian Joint ventures/ Indian promoters of JV companies of foreign Balance of Plant (BOP) Contractors.

5.0SUBMISSION OF EOI

Contractors are required to submit the information as mentioned below in their application for EOI. Schedule-2 (Experience detail) for each reference plant shall be filled separately including all the sub-schedules i.e. in case contractor wish to submit the experience details of three reference plant then three sets of Schedule-2 (each comprising of Schedule-2A, 2B, 2C, 2D, 2E, 2F & 2G) shall be submitted. The contractor may delete the items which were not the part of their scope of the reference plant. The details should be submitted in the prescribed formats along with supporting documents.

Prospective parties may download the detailed ‘Invitation for Expression of Interest’ along with Schedules free of cost from www.ntpctender.com upto 27.05.2014 and submit their application on or before 10.06.2014 on their Letter Head along with the required information in original along with three (3) copies in a sealed cover super scribing “Expression of Interest (EOI) for Balance of Plant (BOP) Package”, at the address given below:
