3.0 Bid Security and Integrity Pact (if applicable) shall be submitted in a sealed envelope separately offline by the stipulated bid

submission closing date and time at the address given below. Any bid without an acceptable Bid Security and Integrity Pact (if

applicable) shall be treated as non-responsive by the employer and shall not be opened.

4.0 A complete set of Bidding Documents may be downloaded by any interested Bidder on payment (non-refundable) of the cost of

the documents as mentioned above in the form of a crossed account Payee demand draft in favour of NTPC Ltd., Payable at NEW

DELHI or directly through the payment gateway at our SRM Site (https://etender.ntpclakshya.co.in/sap/bc/gui/sap/its/bbpstart). For

logging on to the SRM Site, the bidder would require vendor code and SRM user id and password which can be obtained by

submitting a questionnaire available at our SRM site as well as at NTPC tender site (www.ntpctender.com). First time users not

allotted any vendor code are required to approach NTPC at least three working days prior to Document Sale Close date alongwith duly

filled in questionnare for issue of vendor code and SRM user id/password.

5.0 Brief Scope of Work & other specific detail

SCOPE OF WORK FOR SUPPLY, INSTALLATION,TESTING AND COMMISSIONING OF WATER COOLED PACKAGED

SCREW CHILLER A/C SYSTEM:

1)Contractor shall design, supply, install and commission the Air conditioning system after getting approval from the indentor.

2)Contractor should submit the data sheet of Screw Chiller, chilled water system, cooling water system along with the plan of their

isolations, support system, layout and associated civil work required for erection. Data Sheet should get approved by indentor.

3)Complete Insulation of chilled water inlet & outlet piping & its isolation under the scope of Contractor. The routes of the piping and

location of Screw Chiller and FCU unit should get approved from indentor.

4)Contractor shall submit the foundation drawing for installation of Screw chiller, Pumps & Cooling Tower. Masonry work of

foundations for these equipments shall be under the scope of NTPC Ltd.

5)Design and installation of support system of all the pipes and equipments shall be in the scope of contractor

6)Walls cutting & pipe/ equipment insertion etc. shall be under the scope of contractor.

7)The design, erection and commissioning of chilled water piping, distribution to FCU#s, cooling water piping along with necessary

fittings, all pumps, cooling towers shall be under the scope of contractor.

8)All necessary electrical & controls and protections circuits along with control panel design, supply, erection & commissioning

under the scope of contractor. The data sheet shall be approved by NTPC Ltd.

9)NTPC Ltd. will provide the Electrical supply in Equipment room. All other controls, protections & commissioning under the scope

of contractor.

10)All necessary T&P and consumables required for the erection and commissioning under the scope of contractor.

11) Any purchase of Electrical and C&I equipments, should be from NTPC approved vendors only. The list of items purchased

from outside to be get approved from the indentor.

12) The Induced draft cooled cooling tower and associated system#s design, erection and commissioning is in the scope of contractor.

13) Contractor shall specify the unit rate of insulated chilled water piping, cooling water piping, valves and FCU#s of various sizes

and capacity as BOQ is approximate.

14) Necessary drains with their isolating valves to be provided by contractor as per the system requirement.

SPECIAL CONDITIONS OF CONTRACTS FOR SUPPLY , INSTALLATION , TESTING AND COMMISSIONING OF WATER

COOLED PACKAGED SCREW CHILLER A/C SYSTEM:

1) The schematic layout is for reference only. However, the vendor has to meet the site requirement.

2) The erection, testing and commissioning jobs need to be completed in (180) days as stated earlier. Deduction of @ Rs. 1000/-

(Rupees one thousand only) per day shall be made after 181 day, subject to maximum of Rs. 10% of total contract value.

3) The testing of equipment#s shall be witnessed by NTPC representative at works before dispatch. Vendor has to give the inspection

call for the same.

4)The test reports (Routine and type test reports ) shall be submitted to indentor for review and acceptance.

5)The equipments and associated system (complete system ) shall be tested at site and to be witnessed by NTPC representatives. Test

result shall be able to meet inside temperature requirement throughout the year, particularly in peak summer and monsoon season. The

test procedure shall be submitted to NTPC for approval prior to testing.

6)The complete technical literature, drawing, O&M manual shall be furnished by the vendor prior to release of payments.

7)The job should be completed in all respects with standard engineering practice and excellent aesthetic look.

8)Training to arrange by vendor for maintenance of unit.

9)Mandatory spares list to be furnished by vendor.

10)T&P need for erection & commissioning should be tested for their capacity.

11)Safety of equipments & personnel to be strictly ensured and safety instructions to be followed

12)Ensure work force used to for erection, commissioning & transportation of material in the BTPS premises are well trained.

13)Insurance, PF account, contract registration to be ensured before execution of contract.

14)For completion of the system, all material required will be in the scope of vendor irrespective of whether it is mentioned in the

tender document or not.

NOTE: Vendor should visit the site before submitting the offer. Layout drawing, piping, valves etc. given in the tender document are

approximate only. Hence vendor should assess the same and quote accordingly

Contract period

1) For Supply : - Within 3 to 4 months from the date of LOI

2) For Erection completion & commissioning: - 4 to 5 months from the date of supply of material.

3) Total time period for the contract: 9 months from the date of LOI.

Guarantee

(i) Full guarantee of system for 12 months from the date of complete erection and

testing/commissioning of equipment.

(ii) Party to submit CPG of 10 % of contract value at the time of contract agreement.

(iii) Party to submit Bank Guarantee of 10 % of contract value as Security Deposit at the time of contract agreement and the same will

be released after the commissioning of the total system.

Quality checks & plan:

Quality plan & checks are to be submitted by the vendoralong with bid document and to be get approved by BTPS.

6.0 Prospective bidders from U.P. State are compulsorily required to provide TIN number at the time of purchase of bidding

documents.

7.0 Qualifying Requirements for Bidders:

i) Bidder should be a manufacturer of Screw compressor and chiller system for air conditioning and should have successfully

commissioned electrical screw chiller based air conditioning system of capacity 100 TR each or higher in office/commercial building

and system is in successful operation for at least two years as on date of bid opening.

ii) The average annual turn-over of the bidder in the preceding three (3) financial years as on date of bid opening shall be not less than

Rs. 186 lacs and must have experience of having completed/executed similar work of single order value not less than Rs. 124.00 lacs

OR Two orders each of value not less than Rs. 77.5 lacs OR Three orders each of value not less than Rs. 62.00 lacs in the last seven

years.

Note:

(a) The clause-ii) above the word #Similar work# shall be defined as

#The supply of electrical screw chiller based air conditioning system of capacity 50 TR each or higher capacity#.

(b) The clause -ii) above the word #completed/ executed# means the bidder should have achieved the criteria specified in the QR with

in the preceding seven (7) years period even if the contract has been started earlier and/or is not completed/ closed.

8.0 Issuance of Bidding Documents to any bidder shall not construe that bidder is considered qualified.

9.0 NTPC reserves the right to reject any or all bids or cancel/withdraw the NIT for the subject package without assigning any

reason whatsoever and in such case no bidder/intending bidder shall have any claim arising out of such action.
