DETAILED INVITATION FOR EXPRESSION OF INTEREST (EOI) FOR TURNKEY SERVICES FOR OPERATING NTPC’S PETROLEUM EXPLORATION BLOCK IN CAMBAY BASIN CB-ONN-2009/5, GUJRAT

NTPC Ltd. (a Govt. of India, Maharatna Public Sector Undertaking) holds a Petroleum Exploration License for the Block CB-ONN-2009/5 (awarded under NELP-VIII round of bidding by Govt. of India) as Operator with 100% Participating Interest. The Petroleum Exploration License was granted in Sep.2011 and the initial exploration period of the Block is upto Sept. 2015. The block is spread over 165 Sq. Kms, in the districts of Ahmedabad  & Mehesana (Gujarat). NTPC has acquired full-fold 3D seismic data in the entire block and identified seven prospective drilling locations for exploratory drilling. Environment Clearance for exploratory drilling has been granted by Govt. of India.

 

NTPC seeks an ‘Expression of Interest’ from qualified & experienced companies/service providers willing to take up ‘turnkey services for Operating NTPC’s Block ‘CB-ONN-2009/5 to carry out ‘Petroleum Operations’ pursuant to the ‘Production Sharing Contract’ signed with the Government of India. The ‘Minimum Work Programme’ committed during the initial exploration period includes drilling of seven wells (of varying depths upto 2500 Mtrs) to be completed by Sept.2015.

 

As part of exploratory drilling during initial exploration period, the company/service provider’s scope shall cover inter-alia the following activities/services :

 

-        Land Acquisition for exploratory wells and approach roads

-        Civil Works for drill site preparation & approach roads

-        Deployment of Drilling Rig along-with all tangibles required during drilling like Casing & Tubings, Well heads & X Mass trees, drill bits etc.

-        Wire line Logging Services

-        Mud Engineering Services along with Mud Chemicals & Solid Control Equipment

-        Cementing Services along with Cement, Cement Chemicals & Consumables.

-        Mud Logging Services

-        Directional Drilling/Side Tracking Services

-        Fishing Services

-        Well Testing, Well Activation and Reservoir Study Services

-        Warehousing

-        Well Control

-        Insurance during exploratory drilling

 

The company shall also be responsible for carrying out the subsequent activities required during the Appraisal and Development phases of the Block as per the requirements of ‘Production Sharing Contract’.

 

Prospective companies are required to submit the information as mentioned below along with their EOI :

 

-        Company profile

-        Annual Turnover, net worth, profits (Copy of balance sheets for last three years)

-        Experience and description of similar and other related assignments undertaken & completed in the past.

-        Availability of appropriate infrastructure and skilled manpower

-        Any other relevant information in this regard
