(A) NTPC Dadri wishes to enlist capable vendors for Conveyor Belts for next three years. For this NTPC Dadri seeks application from eligible manufactureres only.

(B) Qualifying requirements are as under:

 

  1. FINANCIAL CRITERIA :

 

Turn over:  The average annual turnover of the applicant, either as a group, or in conveyor belt division, in the preceding three ( 3) financial years as on the last date stipulated for request of application should not be less than Rs. 660.00 lacs. ( Rupees Six hundred sixty lacs only )

 

  1. PAST EXPERIENCE CRITERIA :

 

i)                   Applicant company should be a manufacturer of Conveyor Belt of width 1400 mm or higher.   The applicant should have manufactured & supplied FR grade NN or EP Conveyor Belt of width 1400 mm or higher and strength 630 to 1600 KN/meter or higher, to actual user(s) (stated as owner hereunder) or to main package contractor(s) for total quantity at least 5 Km in any continuous 12 months in the past.

ii)                  The applicant should have executed orders for supply of Conveyor Belts during the preceding seven (7) years reckoned as on the last date stipulated for receipt of applications as under:-

                         Three purchase orders each valuing not less than Rs.  132.00 lacs;

                                                                        OR

Two  purchase order valuing not less than Rs. 165.00 lacs;

                    OR                                                  

One purchase order valuing not less than Rs. 264.00 lacs.

        Note:-

a)      The word “executed” means that the applicant should have achieved the progress specified in para 2 –ii even if total order is started earlier and/or is not completed/closed.   The same shall be supported by documentary evidence issued by the owner.

b)      Other income shall not be considered for arriving at annual turnover as specified in para (QR) 1.0. 

c)      Where audited results for the last preceding financial years are not available, certification of financial statements from a practicing Chartered Accountant shall also be considered acceptable.

3.0   MANUFACTURING & PROCESS CAPABILITY:

 

3.1   The applicant should have following manufacturing & testing facilities:

a)    Mixing machine

b)    Calendaring machine

c)     Belt building machine

d)    Conveyor belt press

e)     Tensile testing machine

f)     Aging oven

g)    Abrasion testing machine

h)    Drum friction testing machine

i)     Electrical resistivity testing machine

j)     Hardness tester

k)   Arrangement/provision for Electrical, Fire Resistant characteristics and Flame test ( in house or third party ) as per IS:1891 ( part 5 ) , 1993/CAN-CSA-M422-M87, type-C/ISO 340 Clause 4.2.2.2.

3.2 The applicant should have following manufacturing & process capabilities:

      The production unit from where the applicant proposes to supply, should have the following facilities:

i)                    Closed chamber mixing facility with auto set time & temperature control, for initial input including Rubber capacity of at least one such machine should be fifty (50) ltr. or above.

ii)                  Capability of producing conveyor belt of 1400 mm width or higher.

iii)                Facility of forced cooling, by festooning the Rubber sheets immediately after mixing is over.

iv)               Three roll or above calendaring machine to draw cover rubber in a single sheet with minimal entrapment of air bubble.

v)                 Synchronized Roller stretching facility for pre-tensioning of Fabric Plies during Belt Building.

vi)               The Production Unit should have a transparent standard practice of traceability of end product ( Belt ) with Raw materials, or should have its process quality assurance duly ISO 9001 certified.

vii)             The Production Unit should have a standard practice of Rheological Tests.

viii)           The Production Unit should have Rubber Technologist(s) in regular payroll, and separate internal quality assurance wing/section /department.

3.3   The applicant should have following quality assurance capabilities Testing & inspection.

All Relevant Standards to be followed during manufacturing & inspection : IS/ASTM/CAN-CSA/ISO/DIN

      The production Unit should own, the following instruments/equipment/ arrangements at the premises from where supply is proposed.

 

i)                    Sample marking and cutting arrangements:  Dies, Punching etc., Splicing arrangement for removing Rubber Cover samples and Buffing M/c.

ii)                  The Production Unit should own calibrated instruments for :

-          Hardness

-          Length, width & thickness; such as measuring Tape, Dial gauge/Digital Vernier etc.

-          Drum Friction arrangement with indicator

-          Abrasion resistance test apparatus & standard rubber sample.

-          Oven with temperature indicator.

-          Arrangement/provision for Flame test as per IS, CAN-CSA and ISO 340

-          Electrical resistivity test instrument with required solution.

-          Trough ability Measuring Arrangement and measuring instruments.

-          Humidity chamber / Humidity Controlled testing room for adhesion samples conditioning

-          Rheological Test instrument (s).

iii)                Visual inspection Bed with proper Lighting Arrangement.

(C) Documents required as credentials against the Qualifying requirements.

             QR- 1.  Annual reports/copy of audited P&L accounts/certified copies of P&L

             account,balance sheets & the attached format for this QR (duly filled).

 

            QR- 2 (i) & 2 (ii) Documentary evidence for being manufacturer like registration   certification issued by SSI/NSIC/SC/Directorate of industries/ISO certificate/other     relevant authorities & the attached format for this QR (duly filled).

 

            Copies of Purchase Orders, detailed specifications and corresponding Excise duty             Invoices/delivery challans, inspection reports etc. for proof of execution of Purchase      Orders. Originals to be shown if demanded by NTPC & the attached format for this           QR (duly filled).

 

            QR-3. 1, 3.2 & 3.3: Self certification as per given format with details of the above facilities.

 

(D)  Application Fee. 

Tender Documents for vendor enlistment may be downloaded by any interested bidder on payment (non refundable) of the cost of the tender documents as mentioned above in the form of a crossed account payee demand draft in favor of NTPC Limited, payable at SBI, Vidyut Nagar Distt. Guatam Budh Nagar (Bank Branch Code No. 8866) or Punjab National Bank, Navyug Market, Ghaziabad (Bank Branch Code No. 0674) or Oriental Bank of Commerce, Vidyut Nagar Distt. Gautam Budh Nagar (Bank Branch Code No. –ECGHAZ-919). Vendors may may also download complete tender documents from website itself after making online payment  using their credit card at our website www.ntpctender.com on or before 07.12.2013.

 

Small Scale Industries registered with the “NSIC (National Small Scale Industries Corporation) and SSI units registered in the U.P. State only shall be exempted from payment of cost of above tender documents. Vendors seeking exemption should enclose a legible copy of valid registration certificate preferably attested by Gazetted officer/Magistrate Ist class, giving details, such as validity, items/stores and monetary limits.

 

(E) OTHER PONTS/ NOTES.

 

·         The vendors, who are presently under business holiday with any of the NTPC units, shall not be considered.

·         NTPC reserves the right to accept/reject any or all applications/bids in part or full without assigning any reason.
