NOTICE INVITING TENDER (NIT)

JC FOR TRANSPORTATION OF FLY ASH TO DIFFERENT LOCATIONS SITUATED WITHIN THE RADIUS OF 100
KMS OF NTPC VINDHYACHAL.
(Estimated Cost Rs 2,44,18,500.00 )
amount arrived by doubling the quantity of ash unloaded at unauthorized place / place other than in the scope of
this work and it shall be binding on the agency.

. Additionally, if the contractor is found not following the instruction of EIC / not executing the work as per BOQ
and scope of work, NTPC Vindhyachal has all the rights to terminate the contract by giving prior notice to
contractor and to initiate penal action against the contractor as per GCC.

. Care should be taken so that no ash shall spill from truck on the road during transportation of ash. However, if
during transportation of ash any spillage of ash from ash loaded vehicle occurs on the roads, it shall be thoroughly
cleaned / broomed by the agency. Nothing shall be paid extra in this connection.

. No overloading will be allowed during transportation of fly ash. If NTPC got any complaint related to
overloading then transportation cost of one trip of dumper/hyva will be deducted from contractor bill as penalty
for each overloaded vehicle. Further in case of any liability on NTPC in any manner arises due to plying of
overloaded vehicle by the agency, the agency shall keep NTPC indemnified of such liability.

0. All labourers, staffs, and machineries like closed trucks etc. required for execution of the job must be insured.
1. Rates are firm, hence no escalation shall be payable.
2. During execution of the work any local levies, toll tax of R.T.O., National Highway, State Highway, Gram / Zila
Panchayat barrier etc. or any other liability for transportation of fly ash from the dry ash silo of NTPC Vindhyachal
to the areas where ash to be unloaded shall be borne by the contractor at their own cost.

3. During execution of the job, Agency has to ensure no dust pollution at the loading, unloading and
transportation stage. Cleaning of roads, if required, to be taken up on regular basis. No extra payment shall be
made for these activities as rates of BOQ items also cover these responsibilities.

4. Bidder may see the sites and understand the work before submission of bids.
15. Agency shall to deploy suitable vehicles which can be loaded conveniently under the fly ash silo chutes
without any ash spillage during loading. Required modification in the closed vehicle for its compatibility of loading
under fly ash silos of NTPC Vindhyachal shall be done by the agency at its own cost.

6. At fly ash unloading sites agency has to develop their own facility/arrangement for unloading the fly ash so
that no fugitive emission shall occur.
7. Measurement of quantity of fly ash transported by the agency shall be done through weigh bridge installed in

the fly ash silo area. For this purpose tare weight (before loading of fly ash) as well as gross weight (after loading
of fly ash) of the trucks of the agency shall be measured using weigh bridge and weighment slip shall be issued to
the agency for each truck. Weighment slip shall be provided by the representatives of Ash utilization department
on behalf of NTPC Vindhyachal.

8. No overloading shall be allowed during loading of the dry ash in the trucks / bulkers of the agency. Loading of
fly ash in the truck only upto the quantity permitted by RTO is to be ensured by the agency. If the quantity of fly
ash loaded in vehicle exceeds the RTO approved quantity then the agency has to arrange for unloading of extra
quantity of fly ash from the truck at its own cost and nothing shall be paid extra in this regard. The extra quantity
of fly ash so unloaded from the trucks by the agency shall be unloaded / disposed off as per the direction of EIC or
his representative.

9. After unloading of ash at the designated site, the agency has to obtain a material receipt certificate from the
user of fly ash in the format provided by NTPC Vindhaychal for each truck.
0. Successful bidder shall submit the detailed programme within 15 days of award of work to complete the work
in the given period.
1. Monthly running bills can be claimed. Contractor/agency has to submit the final bill within two months of the
date of completion of contract.
2. The agency has to deploy the vehicles and machineries at each site of work of fly ash transportation within 07
days of intimation of EIC failing which suitable action as per GCC & tender documents shall be initiated.
